If you're up in Waterfall area on Saturday night, check out Lowprofile and Sibling Rivalry together at the Waterfall Arms for some kick-ass punk tunes!

Entrance is R10 and you get one of Siblings' nasty shooters at the door! I still have nightmares after having one of those.

From Durban on N3, take M13 Then take (R103) Old Main Road to Hillcrest. Then right into Inanda Rd. Continue through Waterfall, and Crestholme. Right at Engen (12 Forrest Hills Rd).

How's this for efficient? I not only played at the Waterfall gig, I also watched Siblings then headed down to the Twisted Lemon thing (albeit in some slightly swankier togs).
I have to say, the Waterfall gig was advertised to an even lesser degree than the the Twisted thing and still had better support.

Although Dopescape dude and The Campbell will tell you sms databases and email are the way to go, you can't go wrong with a trusty old flyer to punt your event.

And for your own good, start punting 3-4 weeks before the event.

TWISTED LEMON

Smart, clean, jock type club with a groot entry fee but without any of the usual pretentiousness associated with such a venue. And if there were bouncers, I didn't see them! The drinks were reasonably priced and the "tunes were massive" according to those who are that way inclined. The dancefloor reminded me of the kind you set up in your own lounge when you threw a party in Std.6. But I think with support, it will go from strength to strength

Nice one. I heard your gig in Waterfall was quite rad!

I watched the rugby, had a braai afterwards, watched City Bowl Mizers at Chiltern, went to the Twisted Lemon and then afterwards to Elektroclash... 12 hours of drinking... ouch my liver hurts...

Twisted Lemon was DEAD! Such an awesome venue, set up nicely, everything was cool except no people. Maybe that's a sign that Elektroclash will be burying Prog. House? Or maybe bad promotion...

The clash party was cool, not overflowing with people but really vibey. They had a skateboard that o's were riding around the dancefloor.. danger danger. I fell on my arse trying to be smart!

I thought the elektroclash party was wikkid...albeit coulda been alot fuller..such a big venue makes a relatively sizey crowd look tiny.
Tunes were cool, dancefloor was fun, and there were a ton of people who were like really really good looking! (sorry to sound so shallow but its true, where do those skaters hang out besides Taco Zulu??)
Not sure how they managed to secure the Davinci clothing warehouse but it would be an awesome venue for bands to play in the future.
