The only way I see this country dramatically improving is if billions is poured into education ala Japan after WW2. That, and the government (for once) learns from the experience of the rest of the world and trashes OBE like a salad stand at an AIDS conference. Once people are properly educated, most other major problems (crime, hiv, easily manipulated masses) are improved as a by-product.

Unfortunately, a plan like that would only even begin to take fruition in 20+ years time, and who in government actually thinks that far ahead?
