I haven't seen An Inconvenient Truth. There's a massive (and rather vocal) body of opinion that derides it and considers it a thinly-veiled attempt for Gore to resurrect his dream of being President of the US. Regardless, you don't have to be a meteorologist to know that the shit and the fan are having their inevitable meeting. And the splatter affects us all. I'm not gonna go into detail here because lord knows there are a zillion sites that will list in depth the various problems and solutions that there are. Suffice to say there can no longer be any excuse for wasting energy or carrying on like we've all the resources we need. Cos we don't, and the growing environmental instability will affect the quality of all our lives.
The only thing that I can say about An Inconvenient Truth is that it has given the issue of global warming a raised profile, and that can't be bad. Unless you're an oil company.
Oh ja - try walking or riding a bike sometime. There's a whole world out there that you can't experience at 120 kms an hour.
