I worked on the beach there with Denny Wilson and Allen Pembroke as a Pro-lifeguard, and remember many days at the cuban hat....I was also with Durban Surf for many year. Oh yes the Cuban Hat, cockroach heaven. I am back in NZ these days, but have lities there in Durbs still. Definitely wonderful days there a Rachel Findlayson pools, swimming off the old groynes before the pier was put in, swimming to the shark nets before we saw Jaw's. And many a few beers at the Parade Hotel, and the Ports of Call club at South Beach. My how things have changed. [ ] |
